We proudly welcome the multi-talented Maggie O’Connor Moore as our Associate Artistic Director. With a CV as interwoven as a Shakespearean tapestry, Maggie’s appointment bodes well for the festival’s first year.

Maggie’s Journey Through the Arts

Hailing from the wild foothills of the Appalachians and now based in Huntsville, AL, Maggie’s free spirit and inexhaustible curiosity led her to the performing arts. After training at the prestigious Fontainebleau School of Acting in France and co-founding the Til Tomorrow Theatre Company, her trajectory has been inspiring.

It’s captivating to see how Maggie’s work encompasses both acting and the intricate interplay of art and athletics. She’s found an incredible synergy between these disciplines, resulting in a profound experience of freedom. Her diverse approach ensures that the Montague Shakespeare Festival will thrive under her guidance.

Imagination and Mentorship

Under the mentorship of theatre luminaries like Nia Lynn and Kirsty Bushell, Maggie has gained rich experiences. Nia Lynn’s guidance during the production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream highlighted Maggie’s versatility, evident in her portrayal of Titania/Snug The Joiner and her expertise in costuming and set design.

A Multidisciplinary Specialist

Maggie’s athletic prowess, particularly her martial arts expertise, provides a unique dimension to her skills in the performing arts. As a Nidan rank holder in Midori Yama Budokai Karate, she effortlessly blends strength, discipline, and grace into her roles.
