Workshop: Verse - Back to Basics is Live!
Zoom Workshop Schedule:
In this session, we’ll try a few versions of casting to see who matches each other best. The following day, you’ll receive casting, the edited script, and the dates for online character coaching and development prior to our first in-person rehearsal on March 15th.
Once you’ve received your casting, you will have four weeks to learn your lines before rehearsal. You will be expected to be ‘off book’ by March 15th.
The Montague Shakespeare Festival invites you to be part of something extraordinary through our entirely virtual casting process. We're seeking passionate performers of all kinds – actors, musicians, artists, and performers of all ilk– to bring Shakespeare's dark masterpiece, Macbeth, to life in the heart of Turners Falls.
Following the tremendous success of last year's A Midsummer Night's Dream, we're thrilled to announce our upcoming production at the historic Shea Theater, under the direction of Nia Lynn. With her extensive experience from The Royal Shakespeare Company and Shakespeare's Globe - London, Nia brings unparalleled expertise in voice, text, and performance to our community.
Important Note: Attendance at all three workshops is highly encouraged, if at all possible, as these sessions will lead to the final casting decisions for MACBETH.
Performances of MACBETH will be on stage at the:
Shea Theater Arts Center
Turner Falls, MA
March 28-30 & April 4-6 2025
